Welcome to my ultimate guide of the Best Clean Beauty Products that actually work great!
The mainstream beauty industry holds a not so pretty truth; most of the cosmetics we use in our daily life are full of carcinogens, lead, mercury, are hormone disrupters and the list goes on.
In transitioning to a low-toxic /nontoxic life, I have tried many nontoxic beauty products. A constant problem I had with these clean beauty products is that they didn’t work as effectively as their toxic mainstream counterparts.
These products I’ve listed actually work great and are all scanned through the beauty checker; so they are clean approved!
Products you use everyday should be free of harmful chemicals. Beauty doesn’t have to be pain!
If you’re an ingredient checker like me, don’t worry; I have also listed all the ingredients to each product I’m recommending so you an approve it yourself!

The smell is amazing and a little goes along way!
If you have sensitive skin like me, I alternate between using this and the Osea Cleansing Milk, which is much gentler on the skin.

If you use touch-up powder every time you set your makeup, I would highly recommend switching to a talc-free one. The Ilia translucent powder has great ingredients, talc free, and works well! I use it to set my concealer under my eyes and on my T-zone to reduce oil. It stays on all day.
There have been numerous times where my fiend comment on how fresh my makeup looks and I can honestly thank this powder.
We breathe in loose particulate matter from our powders all the time, so consider switching to one with better ingredients.

If you haven’t tried dry shampoo already, everyone needs this on their vanity. Dry Shampoo is amazing for those who get an oily scalp quickly. Cleo Coco’s Dry Shampoo is powder based and has only 5 ingredients (all safe, non-toxic, and good for the scalp!)
The problem with most dry shampoos on the market is they contain terrible ingredients. The Dry Shampoo by Batiste for example contains tons of carcinogens.
I love using dry shampoo and use it quite often, it doesn’t leave white residue on my black hair either. These ingredients also won’t damage your scalp which is really important for keeping your hair healthy.

6. Primally Pure Deodorant: Blue Tansy
The Primally Pure Deodorant is my holy grail deodorant! My issue with a lot of “clean” deodorants is they don’t work as well as their aluminum counterparts and I end up smelling sweaty.
I have tried so many different non-toxic, aluminum free, deodorants and this one was the one that finally did it for me.
They use an organic baking soda that doesn’t irritate the skin, unlike other baking soda based deodorants. I was surprised that it didn’t burn my sensitive skin and lasted the whole day!
The smell is amazing, I received compliments from my friends that I smell so good and I was only wearing the deodorant.
Overall, this is my favorite clean deodorant and is well formulated. I would highly recommend it if other nontoxic deodorants have let you down.

Sun protection is very important, but not all sunscreens are created equal. If you use a chemical sunscreen, it’s time to ditch that.

- Octinoxate
- Octisalate
- Octocrylene

Mineral sunscreens contain none of those harmful ingredients and protect the skin by reflecting UV rays, acting as a physical barrier rather than a chemical one.
I made a list with Best Non-Toxic Mineral Sunscreens if you are interested in more. Check it out!
The versed sunscreen is hydrating and leaves a minimal cast on me, I like the ingredients and so far it protects me well!

8. Clean Fragrance: Dime
I LOVE good fragrances, but unfortunately a lot of perfumes on the market are terrible for your health. Most fragrances on the market cause respiratory and/or neurotoxic symptoms. Many fragrance ingredients are respiratory irritants and endocrine disrupters.
There are clean fragrance brands o the market that don’t use phthalates and smell equally amazing. Yay!
Unlike the harsh alcohols used in regular fragrances, Dime uses sugar cane alcohol for their scents.
They have tons of great scents; the one I get complimented for all the time is the scent in Malibu Nights.
Ingredients: Water, DIME Proprietary Blend, Organic Sugar Cane Alcohol.

9. Anything by Honest Beauty
If you haven’t heard of Honest beauty, definitely check out their products! They are dedicated to safe ingredients and have great products. They have makeup, skincare, baby care, and body care.
The typical body wash is usually formulated with Phthalates, parabens, dyes, synthetic fragrances, formaldehyde donors, SLS/SLES. Honest beauty formulates all their body washes without any of those!
My favorite product from them would have to be their 2 in 1 shampoo+ body wash. It smells amazing and has fantastic ingredients. It is also gentle on my skin, as I have very sensitive skin. They specifically have a fragrance-free one for sensitive skin too.
10. Kosas Concealer
The famous Kosas Concealer earns a spot on this list due to how great it works on my sensitive skin and how well performing it is.
I have genetic dark circles and used to use the Tarte Shape tape before I found this holy grail. Obviously coverage is very important to me because I need a lot of coverage for how dark my circles can be.
The Kosas Concealer is surpisesly so creamy and high coverage! It is my all time favorite in terms of a concealer with better ingredients.
They also have a brightening concealer, so check that out too!
Overall, the hype over this concealer is well worth it.

11. RiseWell Toothpaste
Toothpaste is something we all use on the daily, so why not swap it with a quality one?
When using brands like Colgate, they throw your mouths PH off, causing bad breathe, poor dental hygiene in the long run.
The Risewell Toothpaste is formulated with high quality ingredients.
This toothpaste contains hydroxyapatite which remineralizes your teeth and is great for sensitive skin.
I really enjoy this toothpaste as it works effectively and leaves my teeth clean! I’ve also noticed a whitening effect, not sure if that related but I love it. Plus, its safe to swallow! Thy have a really good one for kids as well. 10/10 for me.

12. Ogee Luxury Organics Lipstick
If you are a lipstick lover, consider switching to one that is safe enough to eat!
Ogee has beautiful lipsticks that are formulated with high quality organic ingredients. Their standards for ingredients are very high, so that’s a plus.
All the makeup from OGEE is amazing but I would recommend their best sellers; lipstick and lip oil.
The lipstick has a lovely healthy natural look on your lips and lasts a decent amount of time. All their lipsticks come with a refill as well.
*TIP: Use a little bit of the lipstick on your cheeks for a cream blush that’ll match your lipstick!
